It is Friday night and I was having contractions, but with ALL of the false alarms I wanted to wait until I knew they were real! I did not even tell Dave because we had so many false alarms. I even went to bed to see if I could fall asleep and the contractions would disappear. Dave joined me in bed at about 10:45, and they were getting very regular and very painful. Dave said to me, tell me then you want to go and we can go. Finally, at 12:30am we headed into the hospital. As we got to the labor and delivery part of the hospital the nurse told the other nurse to put me right into a labor and delivery room because this looks like the real thing! I was excited to skip the monitoring stuff! We were in the labor and delivery room and everything went very smoothly. The epideral man, who's name was Dr. Burke, for all of those Grey's fans out there, was giving another woman an epideral. Then he was done he moved right over to my room and gave me one. Then from there everything went really fast. We were in the hospital for a total of 3 hours and then we had our second child. He has been a good baby and we are truly enjoy getting to know him. We are putting on some pictures so you an see what he looks like.
